Members undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. By reaffirmation of the promises made at Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish.

Men’s Breakfast

The men’s breakfast group meets every Thursday at 7:00 am in the Parish Hall.  Men of all faiths are invited to attend and join in the fellowship.  Five cooking teams provide the breakfast on a rotating basis.  Cost is $3.00 per breakfast.  There are occasional programs.  The money collected from fees and donations is given to guilds and not for profits in the community.

Mom’s Morning Off

Day care is currently provided from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday and Wednesday.  This program provides a safe, loving community with a curriculum that nurtures the intellectual and spiritual growth of each child.  The program uses the educational wing and the playground of the St. Barnabas church.  Vickie Junell is the program director.  She can be reached by emailing the church (saintb@ktc.com) or at 830 997 5762.  [more info]

United Thank Offering

This ministry began in 1889 to show the connection between giving thanks and giving money, united sharing and praying. The mission of the UTO is to encourage daily prayers, offerings and awareness of the abundance of God's blessings. Offerings are collected from dioceses and congregations throughout the year. These offerings fund a grant program that provides needed assistance all over the world.  At St. Barnabas the offerings are gathered in November and May.
